The service has a vision to be an exemplar shared service locally and nationally, striving for excellence in delivering the corporate aims of both Councils, tackling the climate emergency and ensuring a high quality environment for our residents.
Our Highways and Transport Service manage several major improvement schemes and maintain existing roads within both boroughs. This includes designing, inspecting and implementing changes to our highways and transport infrastructure as well as managing commissioned delivery partners who may manage this on our behalf, all whilst making sure the end result is sustainable, well designed and of high quality.
