Commissioning and Transformation

Our commissioning and transformation teams are playing a vital role in enabling to Kingston become a national leader in Technology Enabled care, integration and the development of pathways that recognise the uniqueness of every individual's experience. At a time of shrinking resources, and growing need, these teams are taking new and innovative approaches to translate our corporate strategies into operational plans, working alongside other colleagues across the Council and our partners, including the NHS. Working in these teams, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference, by commissioning and transforming our services to support early intervention and prevention for our most vulnerable adults, promoting their independence.

Roles in this team vary from entry to manager level and a background in commissioning and transformation isn’t necessarily essential, you may come from a social or healthcare background which will bring skills enabling us to best identify what our communities need now and in the future and monitor the delivery of these commissioned services.

Public Health

Our public health teams work with our partners in the NHS to deliver a range of services, interventions and initiatives to support and promote the health and wellbeing of all of our residents in our communities. Some examples include promoting active and healthy lifestyles through sport, stopping smoking, supporting those substance misuse addictions, sexual health services and ensuring all residents benefit from these services, reducing inequalities in health outcomes. This team plays a vital role in monitoring, adapting and then protecting our local communities from public health hazards, including infectious diseases, environmental threats and health pandemics. Our Public Health Teams play a big part in reviewing data available and turning that data into insights and intelligence that helps inform all Council decision-making on public health matters.
